The Vogel Nest is open year 'round

More than just a cabin, we provide clean bed linens and towels, a full kitchen with dishes, pots and pans, utensils, a Keurig coffee maker and coffee.  In the living room you'll find 2 recliners, a love seat, streaming HDTV, a DVD player and natural gas fireplace.  Additional heating and air conditioning is provided by a heat pump.  The beautiful bedroom features a queen bed with adjacent bath and shower.  Outside, there's a large front porch with swing, gas grill, picnic table and fire ring.  Besides high speed WIFI, you'll have free unlimited long distance calling on a landline phone with voicemail.  We have good cell phone service service at the cottage from all major networks.

Location highlights

The nest is less than 10 miles west of historic Wellsboro and very near the PA Grand Canyon.

There's no need to drive to the Pine Creek Rail Trail.  It's 100 yards away from the cottage.

The Vogel Nest is less than 2 miles from the northern trailhead of the 30 mile long West Rim Trail, Pine Creek Outfitters and Big Meadows Fly Shop.

A 3.4 mile long "Keystone Select" Delayed Harvest section of Pine Creek is 2 miles from the cottage with easy access at from the Pine Creek Rail Trail or Owassee Road.

We're a half mile from Ole Covered Wagon rides into the Grand Canyon.

Reservations

All reservations are made through VRBO.

Reservations may begin and end any day of the week.

Rates include one set of clean bed linens and towels, some soap,

 paper towels, toilet paper and trash bags. 

 Nightly rate (with a two night minimum) for 1 or 2 guests - $130/night.

Weekly rates are discounted 15% and monthly rates are discounted 30%.

There are no cleaning fees if you clean up after yourself.  However we are required to collect

6% state and 5% county tax on all rentals less than 30 days.

No animals are permitted on the property.

Do not feed any wildlife.

No smoking or vaping permitted inside the cottage. (a butt bucket is available outside)

Do not discharge firearms, fireworks, BB guns, bows etc. on the property.

Keep noise to a minimum between sunset and sunrise out of respect for others.

RENTAL AGREEMENT

I agree that…

● I am at least 25 years old. I will be staying at the cottage and will ensure that all occupants and visitors to the cottage abide by the instructions and policies set forth on this page during my reservation.

● Reservations can only be made through VRBO.

● Check-in is no earlier than 5pm and check-out is no later than noon without prior approval from the owners. 

● We understand that there are security cameras outside the cottage that monitor the parking area continuously.

● The maximum number of overnight guests is two.

● We (includes renters and their guests) will only smoke or vape outside the cottage, using the butt bucket provided at the back door for disposal.  Otherwise I will be charged a cleaning fee. 

● We will leave the cottage in the condition we found it, except for used bed linens, towels and paper products. Otherwise I will be charged a cleaning fee. (Cleaning products and equipment are located in the living room closet) 

● We will not bring any animals onto the property at any time.  Animals inside the cottage will cost me a $500 professional cleaning fee to clean for our guests who have allergies.

● We will not feed any wildlife or leave food outside unattended. 

● We will not discharge any firearms, fireworks, BB guns, slingshots, bows etc on the property. 

● We will respect others’ right to peace and quiet by keeping noise to a minimum between sunset and sunrise. (They should not hear noise from the cottage after dark)

● We will immediately report and agree to pay for any damage that we cause to the property during our stay, including damages to its lawn and landscape.

● We will allow the owner or housekeeper access to the property, with appropriate notice, for purposes of repair, inspection or emergency.
